The Story Behind the Pan
Made by Hand,
Refined by Time.
Made In Cookware was founded on a single conviction: the best cooking tools in the world should not be locked behind restaurant supply doors. By going directly to the artisans who have built professional kitchens for a century, and selling directly to cooks, Made In changed what home cooks could reasonably expect.

Heritage factory — Thiers, France
The Origins
100 Years
in the Making.
The family behind Made In Cookware has been supplying professional kitchens in the United States for over a century. As distributors and suppliers to the restaurant industry, they spent generations understanding what separates tools that perform from tools that merely look the part — building direct relationships with the world's finest cookware factories in the process.
In 2017, the founders took those same factory relationships and turned the model on its head. Instead of selling exclusively to restaurants and hospitality groups, they launched Made In as a direct-to-consumer brand — giving home cooks access to the identical materials, construction specifications, and manufacturing partners used by professional kitchens worldwide.
The result was not a new cookware brand. It was the opening of a supply chain that had previously been closed to anyone without a commercial kitchen license.

France
Heritage & Precision
- Blue Carbon Steel
- Forged Knives (Thiers)
- Copper Cookware
France has been the epicenter of professional cookware and cutlery for centuries. Made In sources its Blue Carbon Steel from heritage factories that have supplied French bistros and Michelin-starred kitchens for generations. The knives are forged in Thiers — the knife-making capital of the world, responsible for over 70% of French cutlery production — using nitrogen-treated X50CrMoV15 steel with full-tang, triple-riveted construction. The copper line is produced by artisans who have refined the 90% copper bonding technique over more than a hundred years.
Italy
Multi-Generational Metallurgy
- 5-Ply Stainless Clad
- Stainless Cookware Lines
Italy's northern industrial corridor is home to some of the world's most skilled metalworkers, with family-run mills that have perfected the bonded-metal process across multiple generations. Made In's flagship 5-ply Stainless Clad is sourced from these mills — five precision-bonded layers of 18/10 stainless steel and pure aluminum that deliver edge-to-edge heat with zero hot spots. This is the same specification used by professional kitchen suppliers for decades, now brought directly to the home cook.
USA
Domestic Craft & Fulfillment
- Select Cookware Lines
- Bakeware
- Assembly & Fulfillment
Made In maintains a genuine domestic manufacturing presence in the United States for select product lines, supporting American craft and supply chain resilience. All U.S. fulfillment and quality control is handled domestically, ensuring that every piece leaving the warehouse meets the brand's professional standards. This commitment to domestic production is a point of distinction in an industry that has largely offshored manufacturing entirely.
The Model
No Middleman.
No Compromise.
Traditional cookware brands follow a long supply chain: manufacturer to importer to distributor to retailer — with each step adding margin and, consequently, pressure to reduce material quality. A pan that begins as a professional-grade 5-ply blank is often value-engineered down to 3-ply or even single-layer construction to absorb the cost of wholesale and retail markup.
Made In removes every intermediary between the factory and the cook. By selling exclusively direct-to-consumer, the brand reinvests the margin saved back into materials — maintaining full 5-ply bonded construction across the stainless line, using genuine 90% copper in the copper collection, and sourcing only certified X50CrMoV15 nitrogen-treated steel for its knife blades. These are not compromises engineered for a retailer's margin structure. They are the actual specifications requested by professional kitchens.
